Two DUI Drivers Now Behind Bars

Two people are hospitalized with major injuries after two crashes Saturday night, and now two people are behind bars. First responders were called to Matley Lane just south of Villanova Lane. They found a sedan and an SUV that had left the road, crashed through multiple trees and fencing, and landed on the property of the RTC Operations and Maintenance Facility on Villanova. The initial police investigation indicates two separate crashes had taken place close to each other, several minutes apart. There doesn’t appear to be any connection between the drivers and vehicles. Two passengers in the crashed sedan sustained major injuries, at least one of which is life-threatening. The driver of that car, 22-year-old Dillen Williamson, was also hospitalized, then released and charged with Reckless Driving and two counts of Felony DUI. The driver of the second vehicle crash was not seriously hurt and was arrested at the scene; 39-year-old Juan Chavez-Macias is charged with DUI, Failure to Maintain a Lane, and Driving without a license.
