Beginning Tuesday, lane closures and detours will be in place on Centerville Lane near Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville as the Nevada Department of Transportation adds bicycle lanes to the roadway. Through late winter, Centerville Lane will be closed to through traffic between Douglas Avenue and the northern intersection with Waterloo Lane. Single-lane local access will remain open to businesses and residences in the area, but through traffic will need to detour via Waterloo Lane. The project will widen roadway shoulders and re-stripe Centerville Lane to create sidewalk and bike lanes on both sides of the road from approximately one quarter mile southwest of U.S. 395 in downtown Gardnerville to the northern intersection with Waterloo Lane.
