Meth Dealer Gets 13 Years in Prison

A federal judge sentenced a Reno man to more than 13 years in prison, for having more than a pound of methamphetamine for sale. 37 year old Jose Rivera, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of meth. Prosecutors said law enforcement intercepted almost 7 pounds of meth during a traffic stop on July 27th, 2017, that was driven by Rivera’s cousin and two others from Los Angeles into Nevada. A month later, prosecutors say Rivera agreed to sell more than two pounds, of heroin in Reno for $32,500.
