U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto has released a statement regarding the partial shutdown of the federal government. The Senator announced that she would donate her salary to a Nevada charity for every day of the Trump shutdown. She said that she remains committed to continuing to work with her colleagues to keep the federal government open and cannot take a salary knowing that so many federal workers in Nevada and across the country will go without pay.
