The Reno Police Department says there were no major incidents in the downtown area during New Year’s Eve celebrations and that crowds were “extremely positive.” Officers made 14 arrests; three were for open container, possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing and resisting; 11 arrests were for DUI. A total of 12 citations were issued for open container, driving on a closed road, contributing to delinquency of a minor, intoxicated pedestrian in a roadway, and a warrant.
