The juvenile and armed with two knives when encountered by the WCSD police officer. The 36 page decision says the boy refused orders to drop the knifes he’d been swinging around and advanced on the school police officer, saying “Do it, Shoot me.” The officer fired one shot, then provided first aid for the student, who ultimately survived. The school district issued a statement expressing gratitude that the findings supported their own investigation into the incident, which fully exonerated School Police Officer Cory Coombes.
