Man Arrested After Threatening Washoe County Deputies

Washoe County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man on numerous charges after he allegedly threatened deputies during their response to a call of a disturbance at the home. Deputies were called to a Sun Valley home the evening of January 21. They say when they got there, they were threatened by 29-year-old Caleb Briggs. He was not holding a weapon, but deputies say there were weapons in the home, and he indicated he would use one or more against the deputies. Deputies got him in handcuffs and arrested him for four counts of assault against a protected person, three counts of child abuse or neglect, domestic battery and harassment. He is also accused of making a gesture at deputies that led to a count of open and gross lewdness and one of public or indecent exposure.
