A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car last night at South Virginia Street and Gentry Way. The intersection was closed for about three hours following the crash just after 6pm. Police say they found the woman down on the road and unconscious. She’s now being treated for life-threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating. The RPD Major Accident Investigation Team says it doesn’t appear that excessive speed or impairment are factors in the crash.
