Arrest Made After Fatal DUI Crash on I-580

An arrest has been made in a Reno crash that killed a man. It happened about 4:43AM Sunday, on southbound Interstate 580 south of Moana Lane involving three vehicles. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a red Nissan pickup was traveling south on 580, south of Moana Lane. That driver hit the rear of a red Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV; the Jeep came to rest on its wheels, and was then hit by a Toyota Tacoma pickup, which also hit the Nissan Titan. 20-year-old Korbin Preston of Wellington, in the Jeep, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person is in critical condition. After the crash, the driver of the Nissan ran, and was found a short time later by Reno Police near the Moana Lane off-ramp. That person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and several additional charges.
