Hearings on revising the voter approved background check initiative are scheduled for a joint meeting of the Senate and Assembly judiciary committee. Whether the legislature can legally change it to make it enforceable remains to be seen, but apparently nothing could stop majority democrats from crafting a new bill. Gun activists on both sides are urging supporters to attend the hearing set for 8am in room 1214 at the legislative building.
