Two people were injured following a motorcycle crash in Reno. Police responded to the scene in the area of Highland Avenue and Beech Street around 9:30 last night. They found the motorcycle and two people down in the roadway. No other vehicles were involved. Police say a 17-year-old girl who was the passenger was taken to the hospital with respiratory and head injuries that are considered life-threatening. The driver of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with minor cuts. He has since been released. According to the Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team, it appears the motorcyclist was speeding when he hit a patch of ice on the roadway and lost control.
