Carson Robotics Team Wins Big, Heads to National Competition

Carson High School’s robotics team just won their first state championship in school history. The Cyber Mafia will now head to the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Championship in Houston for the third time since 2012. The other two times they qualified by winning the robot games at the state event. This time it’s for winning the prestigious Inspire Award, which honors what the team did during the entire year, both in competition and in the community. They also won some individual honors, including Nanami Duncan being named a finalist for the Dean’s List. She’s one of 158 students in North America up for the prestigious honor, where a final ten winners will be chosen in Houston.
