Nevada angler John Shorter III has proved yellow perch are making a comeback in Wildhorse Reservoir after tying a record that has been held for more than 30 years. Shorter caught the 1-pound, 8-ounce, 13.5- inch long perch on Feb.16 at the reservoir, which ties the state record caught by Warren Todd Goodale in 1987 at Dufurrena Pond.
