Former Senate Majority Leader Kelvin Atkinson faces up to two years and nine months in federal prison, after his guilty plea to federal wire fraud charges. Atkinson resigned last week after admitting converting campaign funds for personal use. In court he admitted taking a quarter of a million dollars between 2010 and 2017.
