Washoe County School District in Need of Substitute Teachers

Washoe County School District has a serious shortage of substitute teachers for the remainder of the school year. On average, WCSD uses more than 400 daily with a shortage of approximately 80 guest teachers daily. The District is prepared to discuss the situation and provide information to the community and those interested in becoming a guest teacher. Recruitment efforts are ongoing, but despite these efforts, the situation is serious. The District is reaching out to the community to spread the word and provide information on how potential new “guest teachers,” can become licensed.
