The Department of Transportation has just given $40 million in federal transit funds that’ll go to RTC’s Virginia Street Bus Rapid Transit Extension project. RTC’s Michael Moreno this will cover a lot of the costs for the project.

That’s because Phase two is getting underway, and those funds will put the agency where they need to be finish the project.
