A man led Reno Police Department officers on a short chase last night near downtown Reno before being arrested. 27-year old Stevie Lamont Morris, was booked on charges that included possession of a stolen gun, and resisting a peace officer. Police were called to the area of Fourth & Lake street about 7:20 p.m. on a report of a man pointing a handgun at someone else. Police found someone matching that description at 7th and Lake. Police say Morris threw the gun into a yard while running from police. They found it and learned the gun had been stolen in March in a downtown vehicle burglary.
