Digital Days Plan Dies in Committee at The Nevada Legislature

A bill that could have clarified school “Digital Days,” was never voted on by the Assembly Education Committee, and died in that committee at the April 12 deadline. Sponsor Jill Tolles says there just wasn’t enough support for the plan. Digital Days would have allowed students to work at home on days when school is canceled due to weather, allowing the school to avoid having make up days at the end of the school year. They were implemented in Washoe County, then canceled when the state education department determined they were not in accordance with state laws.
