Divers from the Reno Fire Department Rescue Team and other agencies are on the scene of a possible water rescue on Virginia Lake. According to Reno Fire, they received a call around 9:30 p.m. last night that an SUV drove into the lake according to witnesses. They’ve been working to see if there is anyone inside the vehicle. So far, no one has been recovered, and no one was inside the SUV when it was pulled from the lake. Witnesses say that they heard tires screech before the car went into the water. An officer from the Reno Police Department was also near the area and responded to the call but by the time he got there, the vehicle had sunk. The Washoe County Rescue Team has been called to search the area as well.
