Local and federal agencies will partner together to sponsor the Prescription Drug Round Up event in Washoe County. This event is now in its 10th year. Since the area’s first event in the fall of 2009, the Round Ups in Washoe County have collected over 2.3 million prescription pills, and safely disposed of them. Over 300,000 of those pills were types that are commonly diverted and abused, such as opioids, and stimulants. Drop them off 10am to 2pm at Raleys on Wedge Parkway, Smith’s –South Meadows Parkway, Save Mart– Kietzke Lane, CVS -South McCarran at Mira Loma, Walmart W 7th St, Smith’s Lemmon Drive, and Smith’s Baring Blvd.
