Lawyers for accused killer Wilbur Martinez-Guzman were back in court, arguing for a dismissal of charges. The illegal immigrant from El Salvador is accused of killing a Reno Couple, and two other people in Douglas County in January. The defense is trying to suppress numerous confessions, and have argued that it is not proper for the Douglas County and Reno cases to be combined in Washoe County. Martinez Guzman admitted robbing the victims because he needed money for methamphetamines. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, and Martinez Guzman is due back in court June 24th. The judge did not rule on those motions.
