Vitalant of Northern Nevada is dealing with a shortage of donated blood. They like to have a four day supply, but have about a one day supply. During the month of May Vitalant is giving each donor a ten-dollar Fandango gift card. Webb says they are aiming to collect 900 donations by Memorial Day. Appointments are recommended and can be made through Vitalant.org. They’re also hosting a blood drive Saturday at the Galaxy Theater in Carson City.
