Residents of Incline Village came out in large numbers to oppose a cell tower near the intersection of Incline Way and Village Blvd. And they convinced Washoe County Commisioners to reverse the approval of a special use permit made by the County Board of Adjustment. Frank Wright says the tower would be powered by a generator during outages, and it would be heard for miles, and it would be an eyesore.

The 117 foot tower would have been disguised as a tree, but resident say it just didn’t fit there, and would cause property values and development opportunities to drop.
