Governor Steve Sisolak has approved Assembly Bill 431, which restores the right to vote for previously incarcerated individuals who have been released from prison, or discharged from parole or probation. This legislation is expected to restore the right to vote for an estimated 77,000 Nevadans. The governor has also approved Assembly Bill 192, also known as the Nevada Second Chance Act, which establishes a process for sealing the records of individuals convicted of an offense that is later decriminalized, such as marijuana possession.
