NDOT is reminding drivers about roadway shoulder closures began this week on some Interstate 580 Carson City Freeway ramps. This is before the Nevada Department of Transportation project to resurface and enhance the interstate. Overnight roadway shoulder closures will take place on the I-580 Fairview Drive and U.S. 50 ramps in central Carson City, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays through early June as part of sidewalk and utility ramp work. Beginning in early June, drivers will then see nighttime single lane closures, ramp closures and minor detours between 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday evenings through Friday mornings from northern Carson City to Fairview Drive in central Carson City.
