Parking at the Carson City DMV office could be challenging as work on the parking area continues this week. The project includes resurfacing the parking areas around the facility as well as repaving the Commercial Driver License skills test course and employee parking. The DMV is also adding an entirely new parking lot. The project includes paving over what the DMV staff has nicknamed “Lake DMV,” a mainly dirt lot located south of the building between the DMV and Lowe’s. DMV encourages the public to use online services whenever possible and perhaps alternate forms of transportation when visiting the Carson City DMV.
