Washoe County School Superintendent Traci Davis is taking a leave of absence for personal reasons. Dr. Kristin McNeill is now acting Superintendent. The leave of absence is of indeterminate length. Details of the reason for the leave of absence will not be made public, Dr. McNeill has been with the district for 26 years, including as a classroom teacher and principal, and most recently as Deputy Superintendent. Board President Katy Simon Holland says the staff and students of the district, “Are in good hands.”
