The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation presented 20 high school students, who are also cancer survivors, scholarships this week for their higher education. Two time Olympic Gold medal winner David Wise spoke at the luncheon, and says he hopes his words helped the students realize they can achieve their dreams, just like he did.

Each students received $2500, and will get that amount every year as long as they’re in college or trade school. More than $416,000 has been given out through the scholarship program since it started in 2012.
