Storey County Fire says the Six Mile Fire is now 100% contained after burning 12 acres. BLM is now assisting at the scene. Six Mile Canyon Road is closed this morning and is being actively patrolled. The fire was first reported by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office around 7:20 p.m. It was burning near Sugar Loaf Mountain near an area that was burned a few years ago. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No structures were damaged and there are no reported injuries.
