A motion to dismiss two murder charges against Wilbur Martinez Guzman has been rejected by a Reno Judge. Defense lawyers argued the local grand jury didn’t have the authority to indict Martinez Guzman for the crimes he’s accused of in Douglas County. But Judge Connie Steinheimer says the Grand Jury had full legal jurisdiction for the indictment on four murder charges, burglary and possession of a stolen gun. The Salvadoran immigrant has confessed to the four murders, but has pleases not guilty. An elderly Reno Couple, and two Douglas county women were killed in a ten day crime spree, apparently fueled by the desire for drugs.
