The Washoe County School Board has voted to terminate “with cause” the contract of Superintendent Traci Davis. The vote was 6-1 in favor of termination, with only Trustee Jacqueline Calvert voting against it. The decision came after more than two hours of public comment at a special meeting this morning. Davis was accused of bullying, intimidation and retaliation, but most of the discussion was about accusations that Davis leaked details about lawsuits against the district, in a way that went against the interests of the school district. Dr. Kristen McNeil has been named interim superintendent.
