Progress was quickly stopped on a small brush fire that broke out near Dayton along U.S. 50 Wednesday afternoon. The fire was hit hard by several agencies, including an attack from the air, and they held it at about 12.5 acres. The fire did threaten some structures, but none were damaged. The cause is under investigation.
