Bounce House Flies Into Power Lines, One Child Hospitalized

Wind blew a bounce house 10 feet into the air and right into power lines Sunday afternoon in Reno, leading to the rescue of three children by the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. One child was taken to a hospital, Two other children were treated on scene. It happened just after 4 p.m. Sunday, in the 4000 block of Lone Tree Lane southwest of Bartley Ranch Regional Park. NV Energy turned off power in the area, leading to a power outage for about 3,000 customers in new southwest Reno. Authorities say the bounce house was secured to the ground but was loosened by a strong gust of wind. NV Energy has since restored power.
