A crackdown on illegal street racing Friday night led to four arrests, 29 citations and one towed vehicle. Two were arrested for driving under the influence, one had an outstanding arrest warrant and one was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license and having an open container. Since the street racing crackdowns started, street racing has declined in the area, according to police. The operation is a joint effort by Reno PD, Sparks Police, University police, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
