20,000 bright yellow, rubber ducks were delivered to Nevada Humane Society, and are now attending Duckie Boot Camp to get in shape for the upcoming Duck Race & Festival, where they will race down the Truckee River to raise money and awareness for homeless pets. If you haven’t adopted your ducks yet, now is the time to do so that they can get ready for this big day. The Duck Race & Festival is Sunday, August 18 from 11am to 5pm at Wingfield Park. You can adopt one duck for just $5, b ut the more you adopt the better your chances are for your duck crossing the finish line first, therefore making you the winner of the grand prize, a brand new 2019 Toyota Yaris (or $10,000) from Dick Campagni’s Carson City Toyota.
