The Las Vegas Sun is reporting, there may not be an actual republican presidential primary in Nevada. The state central committee is working on a rule that would create an alternative presidential preference poll to use when an incumbent republican is running for re-election, and allow committee members to distribute the delegates if they decide a statewide presidential poll isn’t necessary. It would only allow other candidates, if they have the written approval of 20 members of the executive committee. looks like this will be discussed next month at the NRCC meeting in Winnemucca.
