A prayer vigil will be offered in front of the Thompson Federal Building in Reno Monday, at 5:30pm, for all victims of gun violence, in particular those who were wounded or have died in the 8 mass shootings in the past 12 months. Seventy-nine innocent lives have been taken, in addition to the lives of the shooters. Organizers say the causes vary and are complex but surely involve hatred, mental illness and extremism. Father Chuck Durante says all are welcome to this time of prayer in solidarity with all who are injured and have lost loved ones and in demonstration of mutual respect and honor for human life.
