Two fires were put out along the Burning Man Trail, so to speak. A fire near the boat inspection station south of Pyramid Lake on State Route 445 was contained at 2-acres by fire crews from Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, Pyramid Lake, and NDF.  Another fire stopped traffic for a couple of hours on SR 447 north of Empire. Truckee Meadows firefighters also stopped a handful of “spot fires” in the same area Wednesday.
