A Reno man was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison for downloading images and videos of child pornography. 37-year-old David Guilmette, pleaded guilty in March 2018. He was arrested after Reno Police responded to a complaint from a person who reported seeing Guilmette looking at child pornography on a laptop computer. When officers interviewed Guilmette, he admitted to the crime. A forensic examination of his laptop and thumb drive revealed approximately 850 images and 115 videos depicting explicit content involving children. An additional 1,200 images were found in his deleted files.
