The owners of Puppies Plus and Puppy Love pet stores have been indicted by a grand jury on multiple felony counts. The charges against Michael Schneider and Leilani Tau-Schneider include one count of felony Torturing and/or Killing an Animal and five felony counts of Practicing Veterinary medicine Without a License. The charges stem from activities from May through October 2017. The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says, in one case, they failed to provide veterinary care for a sick dog which resulted in its death.
