The Carson City School District just got a big federal grant that will go towards school safety. The Nevada Department of Education has awarded $1.15 Million in funding, which will pay for two new School Resource Officers and for school safety facility improvements. Dan Davis with the district talks about some of the upgrades they’ll be doing with the funds.

The new officers and improvements were recommended by Homeland Security following safety audits within the last year.
