The Walker Fire burning in the Plumas National Forest has grown to 47,340 acres. Containment is at 20 percent. Fire activity on Tuesday was minimal because of rain over the majority of the burn area. Fire crews used the opportunity to strengthen existing fireline and construct a new line closer to the fire’s edge, increasing containment.
