Join Reno airport and local military leaders in welcoming home veterans from Honor Flight Nevada, with music, Quilts of Valor, Paws 4 Passengers therapy dogs, and a fitting military tribute. They’re coming back Sunday at 4:40 p.m. on Southwest Airlines flight 5325. It all happens at the “Ski Statue” in the main lobby of the airport. The flight involves World War II, Korea and Vietnam veterans, who will be welcomed by family, friends and community supporters from the Nevada Air National Guard, Civil Air Patrol, Blue Star Moms, Comstock Lode Quilters, Paws 4 Passengers, Galena High School Chorus and more. Signs, flags, handshakes and hugs are encouraged. The veterans got free flights to Washington D.C. top see the memorials in their honor.
