The Walker fire in Plumas County has been mapped at 54,612 acres and is 98% contained. A Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) team has started an assessment of the Walker Fire area to determine if there is any risk of the destabilized soil to either life or property. “Resource Advisers” are also working with repair operations to protect natural and cultural resources and to return the fire lines to their natural condition.
