It’s another sign of a strong Nevada economy. For the 11th consecutive month, the passenger counts at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas were up in August compared with the same month a year ago. There were 4.4 million arriving and departing travelers last month. That’s a 3.1% increase from August 2018. McCarran has had nearly 34.2 passengers this year, and is on pace to top 50 million for the year for the first time. McCarran had 49.7 million passengers in 2018.
