Carson City deputies responded to a robbery early Tuesday morning on the 2600 block of Highway 50 East. Turned out the man who’d been robbed was part of an illegal drug transaction taking place that turned into a Robbery. The victim was struck numerous times with an object by one male suspect and a second male suspect displayed a gun. Detectives identified two suspects in the case and began tracking them. That led to a traffic stop at the intersection of Long Street and Saliman Road. They arrested 26 year old Denisse Robles and 24 year old Christopher Mendonca. Both face drug and robbery charges, and other suspects are being sought.
