Washoe County’s new manager is Eric Brown, most recently the President & CEO of the California Telehealth Network. He seemed a little surprised to win the vote, after several hours of questioning among the three finalists. Saying, “I don’t think I was prepared for this,” to the chuckles of county commissioners. The chairman of the Commission Vaugh Hartung congratulated Brown on his new position, and noted the historic nature of the appointment. Brown is the first African American to be Washoe County Manager.
