Fire and rescue crews responded to an injured hang glider near Slide Mountain Saturday afternoon, according to the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. TMFPD and North Lake Tahoe Fire crews extricated the glider with the assistance of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue Team. The hang glider was transported from the scene by Careflight with non-life threatening injuries.
