Fernley Woman Has Alleged Ties to International Drug Cartel

A Fernley woman is one of 85 people indicted in a massive drug ring tied to an international drug Cartel. The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies found Rhiannon Hiller working at a warehouse in the USA Parkway area. She was taken into custody on a federal warrant from Southern California. Authorities say Hiller has an extensive criminal history including, robbery, carjacking, felon in possession and possession of controlled substances. She will face her federal charge in San Diego. The U.S. Marshals Service says Hiller and the other 84 people were arrested after a nine-month DEA investigation in San Diego County. DEA officials seized about 175 pounds of meth, heroin, and fentanyl. Agents also discovered $50,000 in cash, and multiple firearms.
