A mural was unveiled this week on South Virginia that depicts the people who founded Northern Nevada. The artwork on the 900 block of South Virginia shows a miner, Native American, Mexican dancers, the Reno Arch to represent gaming, and Julia Bulette, the Virginia City prostitute who was murdered in the 1800s. Delgado says these pioneers, are what make Reno and the state of Nevada unique.

About half the wall has been painted so far, and intentions are to add the Basque and other settlers to finish off the rest of the mural.
